Winter is upon us…..

Posted in Brewers' Blog

Dear Roy Pitz Faithfull,

First, we would like to thank everyone who came out for our first ever Oktoberfest Celebration. It was a great event with close to 150 people attending. We thank you so much for the support and hope you enjoyed the event. Check out pictures on our Facebook page.

Winter is upon us, and here at Roy Pitz we are preparing a select batch of specialty beer called Daddy Fat Sacks IPA. After searching for some time we were finally able to find the hops we need to make this special brew! This is a toasty IPA that is loaded with hop flavor and aroma and finishes smooth with high alcohols warming the senses at the end. It is close to 8% ABV and sure to be a Roy Pitz instant favorite.

We are also planning several promotions and events for this winter season so make sure you check us out to sample our new fall beers!

Thanks again for all your support, and be on the lookout for some festive Christmas beers on tap at the brewery in the next several months. Also, Roy Pitz will be selling gift certificates and growlers for the Christmas holiday. What makes better for a holiday gift then some fresh craft brewed beer? Looking forward to sharing a pint with you over the winter season! As always, stay tuned in to www.roypitz.com to keep up on all the latest with Roy Pitz.

Scrums,
Ryan Richards

Fall Updates

Posted in Brewers' Blog

Dear Roy-Pitz Family and Friends,

It’s that time of year when the leaves begin to change, greeting us with a new season which is our favorite, Fall! At Roy-Pitz Brewing Company, we thought it would be a great opportunity for us to bring out a line of festive beers that are perfect for the new season. Our line up of summer beers this year turned out to be be a great success and it will be hard to see them go, but the products we have to replace them are nothing short of rare and spectacular!

Our first beer due out September 18th is a beer called Ludwig’s Revenge. It is a historical beer that is based upon one of the first breweries in our hometown of Chambersburg. It is a German smoked lager that is brewed with all German ingredients. This really is one of our favorites as it is so unique and you probably won’t find a similar one on the east coast.

The next beer hitting our line up is called Truly Honest, which is an Amber Ale brewed with specialty toasted and caramel malts from France and has a very nice floral profile from our late hop additions. It will certainly be a nice touch for football season.

We are also starting a special beer series called Roy-Pitz Classics that will feature some our most classic recipes year round. The first available by October is a beer called Ichabod’s Midnight Ride which is a Belgian style beer brewed with pumpkins and spice. It is a beer that is layered with toasted and pumpkin spice flavors and rounded out with higher alcohols at the finish; it is around 6.5% ABV.

We will also have the White Horse Hefeweizen available in limited quantities for all the White Horse fans! In addition we will be offering more styles of beer at our brewery for growler fills (64 oz jug=6 pack) and for samples. Don’t forget about our brewery hours of operation for growler fills, M-F 4-8 p.m. If you need directions to the facility, want to check out our future events, or desire any further information on our beers, please check out our website at www.roypitz.com. I’d like to thank all of you again for your support and love for our products. I can promise that we will continue to put everything we have into making the freshest beer possible because we believe in different beers for different occasions!
